Financial Series: Advancement & Fundraising - Spring Session

Advancement & Fundraising is a three-day workshop designed for school teams to explore innovative giving strategies and campaigns.

School heads and their teams don’t often have the focused time, space, or methods for effectively analyzing donors’ abilities and willingness to give. Using curated frameworks, data, and tools, the Strategy Lab team will facilitate schools’ work to generate new ideas for connecting their vision to their future fundraising goals. School teams will leave with a pitch deck and a concise and compelling story that outlines new strategic approaches for giving campaigns and other advancement activities.

This is one workshop in the Financial Series. Additional workshops in the series cover other key drivers of a school’s financial model, including: 

  • Tuition & Auxiliary Revenue Streams,
  • Discounting & Financial Aid, and; 
  • Staffing & Compensation. 

Come to one or more workshops in the series depending on which elements of your financial model need the most support or have the greatest opportunity for redesign.

Registration Information

Schools determine which individuals (up to six) will make up their workshop team. When you register, you will receive a separate email with directions on how to list your workshop attendees. You do not need to know all attendees at the time of registration. You can make updates to attendees until two weeks before the event. There are no discounts for schools that decide to send fewer than six attendees.

Schools can attend single workshops or string together multiple workshops based on need. Contact to consult with NAIS staff about mixing and matching the series workshops based on your goals. 

Registrants may cancel their reservation until 10 days before the event. They will be fully refunded less a $75 administrative fee. Refunds will not be issued after that date. Cancellation requests should be sent via email to

This is a team-based experience, so a diverse group representing a cross section of the school (up to six people) is important. Heads, CFOs, development directors, trustees, marketing/communications directors, or other administrators with relevant expertise on this topic are the primary audience.
